It's that time of year again

Time for MENTAL toughness training. Into race pace, full on efforts! (Due to the written practice, or my ego. Both apply)
Today I got my heart rate up to 195 chasing Polly up the observatory! How does she do it????? I'm pretty sure my max heart rate (according to a VO2 max test) is only 198!

I also am fairly sure my blood lactate was higher than ever recorded in the swim today. Too bad they weren't finger pricking really. I don't know if it was supposed to be that painful or not...

The key to being mentally tough is to sleep a lot. So I'm going to go do that now.
